UK Saudi CleanTech Venture Days explained

The Cleantech Venture days aim to connect start-ups to investors and the wider CleanTech community, while addressing some of the key environmental challenges we face today. It will also seek to promote new CleanTech collaboration opportunities between the two Kingdoms.
The London event will be taking place on 8 March at Kings Place, 90 York Way, London. It will provide a platform for innovative UK and Saudi cleantech companies to meet and pitch to investors, and for entrepreneurs and research institutions to form partnerships in clean energy and environmental technologies.

We aim to bring together ten innovative British and Saudi start-ups to pitch their technologies to a judging panel following a pre-selection process. Companies will be selected following a high level ‘challenge statement’ approved by the judges during the scouting process. Examples could range from clean energy including hydrogen to waste management and water preservation. Shortlisted start-ups will have a maximum of 5 minutes for their pitches. Each session will be followed by questions from the judging panel. Successful start-ups will gain access to mentoring and tailored market access support through the Saudi UK Tech Hub, as well as the opportunity to meet potential partners and investors.

We expect a substantial delegation of Saudi governmental and private sector organisations to attend on 8 March, who will then proceed on a Saudi delegation visit to Newcastle on 9 & 10 March.
