UK’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero

The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) is focused on the energy portfolio from the former Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). Our responsibilities are to deliver security of energy supply, ensure properly functioning energy markets, encourage greater energy efficiency, and seize the opportunities of net zero to lead the world in new green industries.

Saudi UK Tech Hub

The Saudi UK Tech Hub is a self-sustaining ecosystem connecting Saudi and UK innovation hubs, tech entrepreneurs, research institutions and investors to encourage mutually beneficial partnerships and knowledge exchange.

Invest Newcastle

Part of NewcastleGateshead Initiative, Invest Newcastle drives and delivers economic growth in Newcastle and Gateshead. It secures capital investment, works to attract new businesses,
and create jobs. It helps businesses to locate, expand and thrive through a bespoke range of services.

Invest Newcastle champions the region and its strengths on a national and international stage, promoting Newcastle as a city to collaborate, innovate and thrive. Since it was established in 2013, it has supported more than 200 new businesses to relocate or expand, creating and safeguard almost 13,000 jobs.

KAUST

Innovation Zero

Innovation Zero is a two-day climate and clean tech congress taking place in London on 24 and 25 May 2023. Innovation Zero will accelerate partnerships, dealmaking and collaborations between those developing and producing low carbon solutions and those who need to deploy or want to fund them.

Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is the Saudi government ministry responsible for the communications and IT sectors in the Kingdom. The ministry works towards the establishment of a digital foundation and the increased role of tech sectors in the local economy. They also provide support to entrepreneurs and develop plans to keep abreast of modern developments and technologies at the national, regional and global levels. MCIT is key within the expansion of modern digital skills for an advanced knowledge economy in addition to providing effective support to government systems and platforms.

Federation of Saudi Chambers

The Federation of Saudi Chambers acts as an umbrella for the business sector and chambers of commerce and industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It works towards representing and observing the common interests of these entities, representing them on the local and international levels, and fostering their contribution to the national economic development process. Internationally, the Federation represents the business sector, including at events and conferences, and participating in developing international economic policies, in addition to fostering the Kingdom’s relations with its trade partners, worldwide, and enhancing Saudi exports via 31 Saudi-foreign business councils at the Federation of Saudi Chambers.
